This pack should be used from 4 - 5 months and contains a pack of Waxworms and Giant Mealworms. These should be used in conjunction with the appropriate food packs above, the idea is that you should now be offering at least 4 different insect species to your animal, each one gives something a little different to the others there by giving the animal a spectrum of nutrition, flavours and textures = happy, healthy beardy!
NOTES
Waxworms are very fattening and should not be over used, feed no more that a 12 - 15 a week spread over the days, the pack should last you a month if kept dry and cool (don't try to feed them). The giant mealworms have an outer shell (like a prawn) and this can lead to a blocked gut. Again, do not over use them for this reason and only feed a maximum of 6 in any one day. These will keep around 3 - 4 weeks if kept at a cool room temperature and feed on dry Bug Grub (in the sundries section) mixed with dry bran or other cerials. place a few veg items on top e.g. chunk of carrot, spud, cabbage leaf etc
This pack is suitable for young bearded dragons from 2 - 4 months old and contains a variety of live food items
These should be offered in addition to vegetable material (green beans, cabbage, apple, dandelion leaves & flowers, sowthistle, peas not mushy! etc) to ensure a balanced diet. We recommend that you also provide pelleted food in a shallow dish, this acts as a back up and gives the beardy more choice and textures to eat. They rarely gorge themselves on pellets so you can have some available all the time.
You can also 'dust' the food items with multi vitamin powder just before serving them to your beardie, just put the right amount of food in a plastic bag and a PINCH of the powder then shake the bag to coat the food. If you are feeding the crickets etc then this is optional but recommended. Nutrobal is available in the 'Live Food Sundries' section
CONTAINS
125 Medium Silent Crickets
25 Medium Locust
This pack will last at least a week depending on your beardies appetite! Make sure that the crickets have fresh vegetables to eat by dropping a little in to their container - no water!
Feed your beardy 10 - 12 crickets at a time plus a couple of locust, if he/she eats it all then give a few more items. Do this 3 times a day at say 11am, 3pm and 6pm (assuming lights on 9am - 9pm). Beardies grow very quickly so if your beardy seems to want more then give him more, you can't overfeed really at this point as they are growing so fast - just keep shovelling it in and watch it grow!

CONTAINS
50 Large Silent Crickets
15 Extra Large Locust
This pack will last at least a week depending on your beardies appetite! Make sure that the crickets have fresh vegetables to eat by dropping a little in to their container - no water!
Feed your beardy 10 - 12 crickets at a time plus a couple of locust, if he/she eats it all then give a few more items. Do this 2 times a day at say 11am and 5pm (assuming lights on 9am - 9pm). Beardies grow very quickly so if your beardy seems to want more then give him more, you should now start to take more control of how much you feed the beardie.
One problem that beardies can suffer from is GREED! these animals are prone to being over fed and this leads to a fat unhealthy lizard that just wants to do nothing, it's also bad for them just like it's bad for us.
Your beardy at this age should be around 1.25 - 1.5 inches thick from it's back to it's belly, if it's fatter then it may be getting too much grub! An adult is typically around 1.75 - 2.5 inches thick (thicker after feeding)
From 9 months on you can use any of the crickets and locust in large and extra large sizes as well as the monthly BOOSTER pack and pellets always available.
